In July, the Labour Party launched an Activist Academy for the Progressive Alliance in co-ordination with the Foundation Max van der Stoel. The academy brought together progressive young people, creating networks that cut across regions.

Over the course of three days there was best practice on communications, party organisation, campaigning and development.

The group was welcomed by the Rt Hon Emily Thornberry MP, Shadow Foreign Secretary, Kate Osamor MP, Shadow Secretary of State for International Development and Jennie Formby, General Secretary of the Labour Party. They all stressed the importance of international solidarity, dialogue and co-operation between sister parties.
