Future Leaders from six countries in the Middle East attend a four day training programme in Jordan.
In November, 27 participants from six countries in the Middle East and North Africa region attended a four day training programme in Jordan.
The programme introduced the participants to a series of key skills associated with leadership, including public speaking and interviewing as well as the skills needed for a modern political party; such as campaign design, campaign management and policy development.
At the end of the training, the participants were set two tasks: an individual assignment and a group assignment. The individual assignment asks each participant to design a campaign plan whilst the group assignment tasks them with developing a common manifesto. These assignments will be reviewed at a follow up meeting early next year.
Initial feedback from the participants praised the content of the training but also commended the opportunity provided to learn from young people from other countries in the region.
This event was organised in cooperation with the Foundation Max van der Stoel and the European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity.
