The last of Tha'era's national train-the-trainers was completed in Tunisia in April; meaning the regional network now has national teams in place in all four member countries.
Each national team will go on to deliver up to 100 workshops targeting up to 2,000 women in political skills such as communication, public speaking and campaign organisation.
Working in pairs, each team will be supported by a national manual adapted from a regional trainers manual completed in 2013. This will all contribute to increasing the number of women actively participating in the democratic process.
The Arab Women's Network for Parity and Solidarity/Tha'era was established in Tunis in 2013 and brings together social democratic women from Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia. It seeks to empower women to ensure they have the skills and confidence to challenge the status quo.
